New York Celebrates Columbus Day with Parade

Tens of thousands people and more than 100 bands participated in celebration of the 66th annual Columbus Day Parade in New York, United States, Monday

The celebration took place on Fifth Avenue, New York. The place was filled with red, white and green. More than 35,000 people, 100 bands and marching bands come to enliven the parade.

Thousands of people celebrate this day with high spirits as the day Christopher Columbus, the man who introduced America to the world in 1492.

Although this national holiday in honor of the discovery of the main continent of America, Columbus Day Parade, including the largest celebration in the world in culture and heritage of Italian-Americans. Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and New York gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo and Carl Paladino, all pedigreed Italian-Americans also attended the the parade this year.
