Dropped From the List of World's Richest Man, Bill Gates Still Richest Man in the U.S.

Forbes magazine once again put Bill Gates as the richest man in America period of 2010. For Bill Gates, this title is the 17th time.

Gates's wealth reached 54 billion U.S. dollars, up 13 billion dollars last year following a rise of 50 percent ownership stake in Microsoft. With that much wealth, Gates no longer occupy the position of richest man in the world, but now only occupy the second position.

Under Gates in a row is Waren Buffett and Oracle boss Larry Ellison. The assets of each reached 45 billion U.S. dollars and 27 billion U.S. dollars.

While the title of richest man in the world 2010 now held by Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim Helu, the owner of Telecom Holdings and America Movil with wealth reached 53.5 billion U.S. dollars.
