For the first time the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad gave a speech on Wednesday, since the wave of protests that lasted one and a half weeks ago in the country.
According to government news agency, the speech contains among other domestic issues and the latest events in the country.
Predictably, Assad will announce reforms, which is one way for anti-government protesters become more tender. According to estimates he will announce the withdrawal of an emergency.
State of emergency was imposed since 1963 and allows the president to limit movement of opposition groups and arrest people without any procedure.
Other appointments will be made by President Assad is giving more freedom to opposition groups. Most likely the opposition will have a place in the new government, after the dissolution of the cabinet, on Tuesday.
