Mississippi River Overflowed, Residents Flee

Residents who live around the Mississippi River to leave their homes because of worry about the floods who come from Mississippi river.

A spokesman from National Weather Service said of water surface elevation levels in Mississippi River have broken the record in 1927. High water levels are caused by heavy rains along with powerful hurricanes.

Residents who still busy repairing damage by Hurricane, now put bags of sand in front of their house to prevent entrance of water. National Guard and a team of volunteers to build temporary dikes.

Police in Mempis warned to more than 3000 homes, apartment complexes and businesses to be aware of this flood.

In 1927, Mississippi River flood caused 1000 people dead and forced 600 thousand people fled their homes.
