RIM Officially Introduced Blackberry Bold 9900 & 9930

Coincides with a shake of the world by the death of Osama Bin Laden by the U.S. military, RIM officially introduced 2 variants smartphone: Blackberry Bold 9900 & 9930.

Unlike the previous series, this new series from RIM really overhauling "the content" of the Bold, to the "brain", Bold 9900 & 9930 using a Snapdragon processor 1.2 GHz, 768 RAM. While for screen, using a 2.8 inch VGA touch screen resolution 640 x 480 (capacitive) with 287dpi color depth.

For storage, Bold 9900 & 9930 are equipped with 8 GB internal memory plus microSD expansion. Remarkably, this series has the ability of NFC (near field communication), such as magnetic cards, so when the Blackberry is adjacent to the stickers, posters, or anything that has the NFC trigger, with your permission, Blackberry Bold 990 & 9930 will automatically read them.

It has a thickness of about 10.5 mm, with design followed the tradition of the previous series, from the front side there is a QWERTY keyboard and touch screen, while for the back side, unlike the previous series that uses a combination of leather and plastic, for 9900 & 9930 series uses fiberglass and has a 5 mega pixel camera with capability take HD Video 720p.

Another completeness, this series has a digital compass, proximity sensor and an accelerometer, it seems RIM began to seriously look at the smartphone competitors.

The difference between blackberry bold 9900 and 9930 are for 9900 support 4G connectivity (GSM), while the 9930 for CDMA and quad-band, both have the capability 802.11a/b/g/n wireless plus Bluetooth 2.1 and later when shipped will surely come with the OS 7.

RIM plans to market the Blackberry Bold 9900 & 9930 in mid-summer of this year. For the price, there is still no certainty, so to "lovers" of Blackberry, just start saving now.
