Hundreds of People Lost Due to Joplin Tornado

More than 200 people remain missing after tornado struck Joplin, Missouri, this weekend. While local leaders struggled for Joplin circumstances returns to normal.

Joplin residents descend frustration because four days after the tornado, a number of families do not know the fate of their families or get access to the morgue. Officers are still searching for victims several miles away after a tornado struck Joplin.

However, little hope of rescue teams finding survivors. The number of officially due to tornado victims in Joplin, namely 126 people were killed and more than 900 people injured.

A series of other tornado killed 16 people in three states on Tuesday night. Andrea Spillars, Deputy Director Missouri Department of Public Safety, said 232 people still missing and unaccounted for.
