Elizabeth Taylor's Role In The Fight Against AIDS

During her life, Elizabeth Taylor leave a good impression with her work in HIV and AIDS. Liz devote much time and energy to charities, especially about AIDS prevention.

Liz started to help the American Foundation for AIDS Research after the death of her friend, Rock Hudson. She later established her own foundation, Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation (ETAF).

In 1999, she helped raise funds up to U.S. $ 50 million to fight AIDS. In 2006, Liz donate car 'Care Van' which is equipped examination table and X-Ray equipment. She also contributed U.S. $ 40 thousand for the 'New Orleans AIDS task force', a charity created for the residents of New Orleans with AIDS and HIV.

Elizabeth Taylor has died at the age of 79 years due to heart failure in Los Angeles. Before she died, she has repeatedly admitted to hospital and had heart surgery.
